Xavier van Leeuwe is currently the Consumer Director of Mediahuis in the Netherlands and will assume the position of CEO of Mediahuis Group Digital Market from September 1. Van Leeuwe replaced Paul Verwil with this.
In his current position as chief operating officer and member of the management committee of the Mediahuis Group, the latter will focus more on the further development of new business models and future acquisitions through Mediahuis Ventures.
In recent years, the digital market market has undergone great changes. Players all over the world have appeared one after another, technological innovation has followed one after another, and data and its intelligent use have become an important part of business models.
Against this challenging background, Mediahuis claims to be able to compete in the employment and recruitment markets (including Jobat.be, Jellow.be, and Jellow.nl), housing (including Zimmo.be, Jaap.nl) and automobiles (including gas pedals. nl, AutoTrack.nl, CarsIreland.ie, Cartell.ie).
Xavier van Leeuwe has been working in Mediahuis Group since 2010, initially as Marketing and Data Director of NRC Media, and Consumer Director of Mediahuis Nederland since 2017. As the CEO of Digital Marketplaces, he will report to Paul Verwil, COO of Mediahuis Group.
