This Friday, the Netflix platform learned of new features and restrictions, because from now on, users who lend their passwords to friends will no longer be able to use it.
Netflix will now incorporate a system for sending verification codes to original users to limit this habit and prevent some people who use the platform but don’t pay from starting to do so.
Before learning about this new measure, the app allowed up to five different users in the same session. Although it should be noted that this measure does not affect the limit on the number of devices that can be computers, TVs, phones or ipads.
During this trial period, several users sharing the session will receive an alert to create a new account or another message requiring code entry.
Message purpose “Make sure that the person logging in is a subscriber or lives with him”. To do this, they must complete the verification code sent.
It should be noted that the new alert that the user will receive will arrive at any time, and this person may delay verification.
What is unclear is how long it can be postponed, and whether the platform can continue to be used when the option is selected, or, conversely, whether the option expires.
Some people believe that the purpose of creating this feature is to control based on security, because although several users share their servers with friends or family members, others may be hacked safely without their knowledge.
According to one of Netflix’s direct sources, it has been confirmed through the CNBC website that the feature has not been officially released, but this is a test, and “It is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so”.
