(New York) – The Metropolitan Opera and the Polish Nationwide Opera are organizing the Ukrainian Free Orchestra to tour Europe and the Americas from July 28 to August 20.
The ensemble will collect in Warsaw on July 18 for a rehearsal with musicians from Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Odessa, in addition to Ukrainian members of the European Orchestra, the businesses stated on Monday.
Keri-Lynn Wilson, a Canadian-Ukrainian conductor married to the Metropolitan Museum of Artwork basic supervisor Peter Gelb, will lead musicians together with the Kyiv nationwide anthem Theatre, Ukrainian Nationwide Symphony Orchestra, Lviv Philharmonic and Kharkiv Opera Home and member of Vienna’s Tonkunstler Orchestra, Belgian Nationwide Orchestra and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
The tour will open on the Polish Nationwide Opera’s Wilkie Theatre on July 28 and can embrace a televised efficiency on the BBC Proms in London on July 31.
It is going to be adopted by stops on the Chorégies d’Orange Music Pageant in France (2 August); Berlin (4 August); Edinburgh, Scotland (6 August); Snape Maltings, England (8 August); Amsterdam (8 August) August 11); Hamburg, Germany (August 13); New York (August 18 and 19) and Washington (August 20).
