When Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born that day, someone rented a domain name with the girl’s name on behalf of her parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The Daily Mail wrote that Lilibet Diana was born on the morning of June 4, when the domain names lilibetdiana.com, lilibetdiana.org and lilibetdiana.net had been rented.
Since the couple only announced the birth of the girl yesterday, this means that their closest friends, family and colleagues are already familiar with the birth of the royal baby.
According to the “Daily Mail” report, these domains were purchased through the American company Domains By Proxy, which purchases websites for all those who do not want to disclose their information to the public. The domain name lilibetdiana.co.uk was also purchased yesterday.
The couple named the baby Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. In a statement, they said she was named first after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, and secondly after her late grandmother Diana.
“Lily is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen, and her family nickname is Lily Beat. Her middle name, Diana, is in memory of her beloved, late grandmother, Princess of Wales,” Harry and Meghan wrote in a statement Tao.
Lilibet is the nickname given to Queen Elizabeth by the late Prince Philip when she was engaged. Some sources claimed that Queen Elizabeth gave herself the nickname Lilibet when she was a child because she did not know how to pronounce her name Elizabeth.
