The Netherlands announced today that it will temporarily stop using AstraZeneca’s covida-19 vaccine until April 7.
The Ministry of Health said on Friday that it would temporarily suspend vaccination for people under 60, but after consultations on Saturday, the health service decided to suspend all AstraZeneca vaccinations to avoid throwing vaccines.
In the next few days, about 700 people over the age of 60 should be vaccinated with AstraZeneca, but their vaccination was temporarily cancelled because there is no guarantee that if only a few people receive the vaccination, this batch of vaccines can be fully utilized .
After vaccination, there were 5 cases of blood clots among women between 25 and 65 years of age. One person died.
Authorities said that investigations are ongoing to determine whether these cases were caused by the vaccine.
So far, about 400,000 people in the Netherlands have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
