Fausto Gresini has won the World Motorcycle Championship twice and is the founder and team owner of Aprilia Gresini Racing in the King of World Speed Championship category , At the age of 60.
The Italian expert died of complications from the coronavirus in a hospital in Bologna. He was admitted to the hospital on December 27 and struggled with the disease for nearly two months.
Gresini’s career is a 125kc racing car. He also won the world championship in 1985 and 1987. He won 11 consecutive races this season, setting a record.
He ended his racing career in 1994, with 21 victories in 132 races and 50 podiums.
