The family informed MTI on Monday that he is the legendary motorcyclist, trainer and machine developer György Kurucz, who was 91 years old.
György Kurucz is the 21st Hungarian champion and is part of many international achievements. The most memorable of these was in 1956, when he and János Reisz won the championship in a 250 Pannonia saddle, when he held a 24-hour Bol’dor race in Monthlery, France. Three years later, the two won second place there.
He retired in the 1970s and his coach was the legendary János Drapál. In addition, he also used a lathe to develop engines and tried to make the vehicle safer.
