The first round of Polish tennis players in Monaco will be held on Monday afternoon. Due to many hours of rain, the organizers of the game decided to postpone the start of the Hurkacz-Fabbiano game at 5:30 pm. However, the weather was so bad that players could not play the game that day.
Before leaving the court, Hurkacz performed very well. He successfully won the first set 6-3. In the second game, the player only participated in one match won by Fabbiano. Hurkacz could break it, but conceded six goals in a row.
The referee decided that all unfinished Monday games will be played on Tuesday. If the weather permits, it will be possible. According to forecasts, Monte Carlo on Tuesday is also expected to rain, although the decline is smaller than today.
The organizers of the match informed Hurkacz and Fabbiano that they will compete in the second match. The players will come out after the Pella-Pouille match, which will be at 11:00 AM. This means that the pole meeting may start from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The meeting will be held at Polsat Sport because the TV station will broadcast ATP matches in Monaco.
The Polish doubles match is also scheduled to be held on Tuesday. Łukasz Kubot and Wesley Koolhof will perform with French couple Adrian Mannarino and Benoit Paire. The game will be played on the 13th game, this is the third game. After a break after the singles match, Hubert Hurkacz will also play with Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime. Their opponents will be representatives of Monaco, Roman Aneodo and Hugo Nice.
