A Boston Celtics fan was arrested after throwing a bottle of water at Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving after Sunday’s NBA playoffs and may face a life-long ban from visiting TD Garden.
The camera showed that the guard responded quickly and then took the fans away with handcuffs. A report from the stadium stated that the fan has been banned from participating in Celtics games for life, and according to other reports, a lifetime ban is possible, but has not been finalized.
The incident occurred after the Nets defeated the Celtics 141-126 in the fourth game of the Eastern Conference playoffs and took a 3-1 lead to four victories in the series. Irving approached the middle, pretending to rub the Celtics logo on his sneakers, then turned and walked towards the locker room.
Before reaching the tunnel, the fan threw the bottle in his direction. The bottle didn’t hit Irving, but it caught his attention. He and several teammates stopped to talk to the fans.
Irving caused a sensation throughout the game, with a total of 17,226 spectators watching the game. He played for Boston for two seasons in the 2017/18 season. And 2018/19, and then moved to Brooklyn.
