Serious WNBA earthquake scandal. Connecticut coach Curt Miller complained during the game against Las Vegas that Las Vegas player Lis Cambage was too “heavy.”
Miller told the judge, “That girl weighs at least 130 pounds.” This of course caused a scandal, and the Australian basketball player was angry.
“I will never let men insult me. Never. Coach in Connecticut, I’m sorry, little sir, I don’t know your name, but I weigh 100 pounds and I am proud to be a big bitch. Never insult Me or any other woman in the league,” Liz wrote.
Miller later apologized.
“During the competition, I made inappropriate and offensive comments about Liz Cambage’s height and weight. I regret my remarks and apologize to Liz and her entire team. I understand the importance of my words, I will learn from it,” Miller said.
The WNBA suspended Miller and he will have to pay a $10,000 fine.
