Actor Paul Ritter starred in the popular mini-series Chernobyl movies and “Harry Potter and James Bond” movies. He died of a brain tumor at the age of 55.
His agent told the Guardian: “It is a pity that we can confirm that Paul Ritter passed away last night.”
He added: “He died peacefully at home with his wife Polly and his sons Frank and Noah.”
Ritter embodies Anatoly Dyatlov in the Chernobyl series.
He played the role of Eldred Worple in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and the government adviser Guy Haynes in the James Bond film “Quantum Crisis.”
Ritter is also known as a stage actor and was nominated for the Olivier and Tony Awards in 2006.
In his hometown of England, the Kent-born actor is famous for the TV show “Friday Night Dinner”.
His agent said: “Paul is a very talented actor who has played many roles on stage and screen. He is very smart, friendly and funny. We will miss him very much.”
