QUARTERBACK 25-year-old Houston Texan Deshaun Watson was accused of sexually assaulting multiple women, most of them massage therapists.
The police confirmed the launch of a criminal investigation against Watson and emphasized that “they will not make any further comments during the proceedings.”
The statement said: “A woman complained to DeShawn Watson to the Houston Police Department.”
This is another step in Watson’s potential legal issues. In other words, the leader who was attacked in the Harris County District Court in Houston, Texas, is currently facing 21 civil lawsuits for sexual assault and misconduct.
Watson is considered one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League (NFL), and from the very beginning he firmly denied these allegations and made sure that “he never treated any woman like the utmost respect” .
His lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said that investigators found “conclusive evidence” and one of the allegations was false, adding that “this also puts the legality of other cases into question.”
Watson’s legal team released the testimony of 18 women earlier this week who have worked with him more than 130 times in the past five years and have never complained about his misconduct.
They said: “Everyone said that Deshaun never made them feel uncomfortable or asked for anything other than professional massage.”
