Prince Charles (Charles Charles) paid his first tribute to his “Dear Dad” today after the news of his father, Prince Philip’s death.
The Prince of Wales said in a recorded video message that his father provided the most outstanding and dedicated service to the Queen, family and country, and the Commonwealth.
Charles said: “My dear father is special.” His father will be deeply moved by the grief of millions of people in Britain and around the world after his death.
He said that he will miss his father very much, adding that his family is deeply grateful for the sympathy provided, which, as he said, will support them during their particularly tragic times. Prince Charles ended his message with the simple word “thank you”.
Due to the restriction of the crown, the Prince of Wales is the only member of the royal family who can visit Prince Philip during his four-week residence. Charles’ video message only appeared after Prince Philip left Windsor Castle and stayed with his queen mother yesterday morning after the death of Prince Philip.
A source close to Charles said that in recent weeks and months, he and his father have contacted him more regularly than ever before-they have said all they need to say, which comforts him.
