According to Turkish media reports, Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz held a meeting with the club’s management. At the meeting he angrily talked about the players and spoke about their problems. Frivolity and undiscipline expressed dissatisfaction.
He particularly attacked the 35-year-old defender Ryan Donk. He said: “We have had enough of Donk’s carnival.”
Galatasaray is currently ranked third in the Turkish League, only eight points behind Besiktas. Cengiz was not satisfied with the results.
“Our football players are not training well. They go to parties in the evening and train in the morning. At that time they have no strength and cannot participate in the game because they were playing the night before. They are busy with entertainment,” Cengiz concluded.
