Today, Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovich expressed condolences to Queen Elizabeth II, the royal family and the British on the death of Duke Pintz Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Buckingham Palace announced earlier today that Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, died in Windsor at the age of 99.
“On behalf of the Croatian government, I would like to express my sincere condolences to the royal family and the British people after the death of the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Queen. Prince Philip’s service to Britain will be remembered by people.” Plenkovic wrote on Twitter.
After the news of Prince Philip’s death was announced, the flag of Buckingham Palace was lowered to half mast, and citizens began to leave flowers and messages in front of the fence.
The Prime Minister of Croatia, along with many world leaders, expressed regret for Prince Philip’s departure and expressed condolences to the Queen of England and her people. Prince Philip has been with the Queen for more than 70 years and is the most famous husband in the world.
