Orianne Cevey Bates, ex-wife of musician Phil Collins, revealed in a new interview why she decided to leave him during one of his most difficult times.
When she decided to divorce him, Phil was suffering from severe depression.
Orianne said her ex-husband drank all day, watched TV, and refused to leave the house to meet with friends. As time passed, they began to sleep in separate rooms, and she began to see other men.
“I feel trapped in a golden cage. When a person is depressed, it is difficult to help them. Even though you love them, why do you have to endure it? After a few years, you have had enough. Phil did not take care of himself. He didn’t take care of himself. You can imagine how much he took care of me at the time. It was difficult. You felt lonely and felt that no one was talking to me. She felt sad and unhappy.
Phil recently appeared in court in Orianne because she and her new husband Thomas Bates did not want to leave his $30 million villa in Miami. The court made a ruling in his favor. In order to retaliate against him, Orion sold all his valuables, including his golden plate, at a low price.
She said: “When you live in a luxury villa, you can see beautiful views, but this is what you have. You have no love, nothing.”
Orianne and Phil were married from 1999 to 2008 and renewed their romance in 2016. They also have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas. It was these sons who held their mother tightly to the arms of another man and told her that she had to admit all fathers, otherwise they would Did it for her. Phila left Orianne and then married her lover.
