They operated on Fabio Quartararo, and ranked second in the elite category of World Motorcycle Championships champions and second in MotoGP.
Yamaha’s French racer was in pain at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday and was unable to properly pump out the gasoline, so he had to undergo surgery on his right forearm. Quartararo confidently led by half the distance, then suddenly started to slow down and ended up only in 13th place.
The 22-year-old cyclist has experienced similar problems in 2019 and is still undergoing surgical treatment, but he said that his race has never been negatively affected by pain before the intervention.
Yamaha announced on Tuesday that the athlete who has won two races so far this year will compete in the French Grand Prix next week.
Despite being left-handed, Quartararo was second, only two points behind Italy’s Francesco Bagnaya.
