Martin Odgard will not return to Arsenal after the club’s loan period expires. The respected Fabrizio Romano announced that he was bound by a contract with Real Madrid, which plans to retain him.
Odegard arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the winter transfer window. At the end of last season, he played 20 games in all games, scoring two goals and contributing two assists.
Romano wrote that Real Madrid hope to have a 22-year-old Norwegian join their team next season, but if a suitable offer comes up, they are considering selling Isco.
Odegard posted a message on his Instagram profile to thank the Arsenal fans.
“Thank you very much for these six months. The time spent with the Arsenal family will always be in my heart. I want to thank everyone inside and outside the club for making me feel part of the family from day one. Special thanks Fans, even if you are not on the stadium, I have always felt your support. Thank you very much the boss and his staff for everything they learned during my stay. Thank you my teammates for having a great time off the court. I will miss it. All of you. Thanks to the Topnick family. Always in my heart,” Odegard wrote.
