MVEP said that Croatia and Hungary have confirmed the mutual recognition and acceptance of covid-19 vaccination certificates, regardless of the vaccine used.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “Today, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary have exchanged diplomatic notes to confirm mutual recognition and acceptance of vaccination certificates against covid-19.”
He pointed out that the vaccination certificates issued by the competent authority of the Republic of Croatia (ie, the competent authority of Hungary) are mutually recognized and accepted, “no matter what kind of vaccine is used”.
Citizens of the two countries will be able to enter the other country without restrictions, compulsory self-isolation or passive testing, and enjoy the same rights, immunity and access to services recognized by the citizens of the other country for their citizens . The vaccination certificate shall be subject to national regulations.
According to a revised decision on May 1, 2021, the Hungarian government approved the approval of a negative PCR test for travel to Hungary in the Republic of Croatia.
