Thank you for your letter, Emma! We are glad that you contacted us. Our Bright Side team gathered to discuss how the conflict can be resolved in the best way possible, and here is the most helpful advice we could put together.

It’s a beautiful gesture that you want to embrace your parents’ disability in your wedding day, it shows how much you care for them. Remember that it’s a special date for you and your partner. As a couple, you should be the ones making decisions over how it should look. But taking advice from others can also be beneficial for the party’s sake.

Consider the possible liabilities. Sometimes when we really like an idea, we don’t stop to think about how it might affect others. In some countries, 1 in 4 adults live with a disability and having people stumbling around might not be the safest plan for deaf people, old people, wheelchair users, kids, even your parents. You might end up with an unfortunate accident.

Try to have a heart-to-heart conversation with your fiancé’s parents. Perhaps if they see that you really care about honoring your parents at your wedding, they would try and help by suggesting other meaningful ways in which it can be done. They can give you great original ideas and your relationship with them might get stronger.

You can achieve a middle ground. Finding other ways to celebrate your parents can be a way in which you can include them and the other guests. For example, having a time frame in which the lights will go off, maybe letting every guest dress in a funny way without having to turn the lights off, etc.

If you still decide to make your wedding a lights out event, take precautions. You wouldn’t want any accidents on such important date. Having professional and medical services present can minimize the odds of any contingency happening. We hope that you can have the wedding of your dreams and that everything works out fine for you and your husband to be.

Person Dies After An 11-Foot Alligator Yanked Them Inside A Myrtle Beach Pond

Talk about a nightmare moment! A person died on Friday morning at the jaws of an 11-foot alligator, according to Fox News. Authorities found that the alligator caught a Myrtle Beach yacht club member and yanked them into a retention pond. The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources moved to euthanize the alligator on-site.

“Our hearts go out to the family and community members impacted by this tragic incident,” the Horry County Police Department said.

Authorities are still investigating the victim’s death. Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said her office will release additional details come Monday.

Meanwhile, a resident of the neighborhood placed the blame on the complex for not upkeeping the grounds. This person took to Facebook with their complaints about the landscaping.

“The entire reason it happened is because the HOA refused to cut the grass around the pond anymore, [so] the homeowner went out there and took it upon himself to do it,” Trea Donohoe wrote in a community Facebook group per The Daily Mail.

Alligators Frequently Spotted In Neighborhood

Another resident of the area explained that this isn’t the first time alligators have lurked in the area. Jason Repak tweeted a photo of an alligator leaving the same pond on May 8. After news broke of the death, he returned to his tweet and added commentary.

“I couldn’t have imagined that it was likely one of these alligators that would later kill a man,” Jason wrote.
He added, “My prayers and heart go out to the family, as my arms wrap tighter around my kids and dogs near these ponds.”

Jason also explained to My Horry News that alligators between 12-14 feet frequent the area, usually crossing the road between two retention ponds in the area.

Marvel Reveals New Spider-Man Dinosaur Hybrid Spider-Rex

Earlier this year came the announcement from Marvel Comics that Spider-Verse architect Dan Slott would be returning to the multiverse for one last time, officially ending the “Spider-Verse” with a new storyline titled, Edge of Spider-Verse. Across the five-issue limited series the House of Ideas will introduce brand-new Spider-heroes and redefine some fan-favorites such as Araña, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Man: India. Marvel Comics has now confirmed one of the all-new Spider-heroes that will make their debut in the comic, revealing that Spider-Rex, a dinosaur version of the wall-crawler, will make his debut in the series.

Spider-Rex will appear in August’s Edge of Spider-Verse #1, hailing from a story by Spider-Woman creative team Karla Pacheco and Pere Perez. Spider-Red will also appear on a variant cover for the series by Leinil Francis Yu, which you can find below. Each issue of Edge of Spider-Verse will feature three stories with an overarching narrative by Dan Slott that will serve as the conclusion to the Spider-Verse. Joining Slott and Pacheco in writing the new series will be Alex Segura and Dustin Weaver. Art for the series will be done by Martin Coccolo, Caio Majado, Pere Perez, Dustin Weaver.

“Marvel has decided to do the unthinkable, go big, and bring the saga of the comic book Spider-Verse to a fiery conclusion,” Slott previously shared with Polygon. “Yes, that’s right. Later this year we shall all bear witness to THE END OF THE SPIDER-VERSE!”

When asked if End of Spider-Verse is truly the end of the Spider-Verse, Slott couldn’t help but gleefully poke fun at how death is never the end in the world of comics. “If you ask me, it’s madness,” Slott said enthusiastically. “Why would they do this? WHY? They could’ve milked this spider-cash-cow for decades. That said, if you are going to do it, going all-out in a blaze of glory is definitely the way to go!”

Twitch Streamer Sets New Viewership Record With Boxing Stream

A Twitch streamer has broken the record for most concurrent viewers with a boxing stream. It’s no secret that boxing streams and YouTube events are huge and have been for the last few years. Human beings are very primal and love to see people hit each other. Add in the fact that there’s a big culture around streamers and content creators, they make for a great pairing when event hosts combine the two. Naturally, boxing events involving influencers have become a massive form of entertainment over the last few years. There is some speculation regarding the legitimacy of some of these events, but it hasn’t stopped people from eating it up.

Spanish Twitch streamer Ibai set a new record on the platform with a peak of 3.3 million concurrent views with his “La Velada del Año II” boxing event. The record was set before the main event even aired, meaning there was massive engagement with the event even before the big marquee moment. The previous record was set by TheGrefg at 2.4 million views during a stream where he was revealing a Fortnite skin of himself. Needless to say, there’s a huge disparity between both the content being streamed and the numbers put up by both streamers. Whether Ibai will be able to top these numbers with a future boxing event remains to be seen, but it’s certainly not out of the question.

Ibai is becoming one of the best ways to consume these boxing events and will likely continue to raise the stakes, lure in larger creators after setting this record, and much more. It also wouldn’t be shocking if more boxing events from other influencers start cropping up after seeing the immense success the Spanish Twitch streamer has had with his events. This also proves Twitch has become a major platform for things beyond gaming, despite the platform originally starting out as a gaming-only website.
