Due to the sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infections, Sobjanjin announced on Saturday that June 15-19 is a non-working day and all bars, restaurants and other venues will be closed by 11 pm on June 20.
It said there will be five cars worth one million rubles (11,500 euros) every week.
“However, of course, the main goal of those who decide to vaccinate is unmatched by any car,” Sobyanin said, adding: “The main goal is their own health and mental balance.”
On Saturday, Sobjanjin ordered the closure of children’s playgrounds near shopping centers and parks by June 20, and urged employees to work from home as much as possible, and banned dining in restaurants between 11pm and 6am.
Russia confirmed 14,723 new coronavirus cases on Sunday. Among them, 7704 is in Moscow, and the capital is the country’s largest epidemic hotbed.
So far, Russia has confirmed a total of 5,208,687 cases of coronavirus infections, of which 126,430 have died.
The vaccination campaign started in December, but progress has been slow due to public distrust of vaccines.
According to official data, as of December, only 18 million people had received the first dose of the vaccine, about 12% of the population.
