Last weekend, FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL opened its doors to all visitors and announced that it had a pleasant three-week social event in Jarun, including delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, band and DJ performances, children’s workshops and performances, book promotions, pet corners, Bar quizzes and more.
The novelty of this year’s holiday edition is CHEF KUHA NA KOTAČI, where the famous Zagreb chef will start performing at 6pm every Wednesday during the holiday season. Therefore, at 6 pm on Wednesday, June 16, Mate Janković will make a guest appearance for the first time. As part of the METRO Foodie Club truck, he will arrange street food with the chefs of Mrav burger bar, which will be available on the menu until Sunday, June 20, in limited quantities.
In addition to this visit, Mate Janković will also serve as the jury to choose the best food truck festival for the famous competition of the European Street Food Awards, where Croatian chefs will compete with chefs from 15 countries for the first time. The Zagreb Food Truck Festival has therefore become part of the European Association of the world’s largest street food competition, and the winner of 2022 will compete on the world stage in the United States.
Holiday Wednesday will be reserved for CHEF KUHA NA KOTAČI, so apart from Mate Janković’s first visit, Nastasja Chiara Petrić will also be guests on Wednesday, June 23 and Marko Palfi on Wednesday, June 30.
