The selection of the Croatian national basketball team Veljko Mršić announced the list of more players who will participate in the Olympic qualifiers to be held in Split from June 29th to July 4th. Mario Herzonia was among them.
After the finals of the HT Premier League playoffs and the first round of the NBA playoffs, the finalists of the 16 national team members who are about to start preparations will be determined.
The preparations for the Olympic qualifiers should begin on June 8. Four friendly matches will be held before the competition.
The schedule confirmed by the Croatian Basketball Association announced that the first schedule is scheduled to play against Slovenia in Rijeka on June 16, and the return match will be played in Ljubljana two days later. The national team will then move to Split, where they will begin to get used to the Spaladium arena, where they will play two friendly matches against Puerto Rico.
The national team will then enter the so-called June 25 epidemiological “balloon”.
Only the winners of the competitions in which the six national teams have participated can win tickets to the Olympics. To travel to Tokyo, Croatia must compete with Brazil, Tunisia, Germany, Russia and Mexico.
