Manchester City, ranked number one in the Premier League, entered the home court of Aston Villa on Wednesday night and won 2-1.
Surprisingly, when John McGinn found a goal after a quick free kick, Aston Villa took the lead in the first minute. The Scottish player finally defeated Liverpool 7-2.
After an excellent all-around game, Phil Foden found the goal and in the 22nd minute, New York City was able to tie the score. When FC’s Pep Guardiola was squashed by opponents after 40 minutes and forced to lift up, the crowd gasped.
The first half was not over. After the video was played, Bankes decided that the case was serious and John Stones received a red card.
In the 57th minute, Birmingham also slipped. Matt Cash received two yellow cards in three minutes and fouled Phil Foden on both occasions.
The second half became more balanced than the first half, but unfortunately, it was not because of many situations, because the players did not accurately target each other and the goalkeeper had almost nothing to do.
Manchester City will play in the League Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
