Two huge oil slicks floated on the Mediterranean Sea. Together, these attractions are almost 35 kilometers long. They are clearly visible from the air:
The oil floats near Corsica. Therefore, the beach on the island has been closed. It is also prohibited to fish in contaminated areas. People in this area worry about the damage that oil may cause to nature.
The French Navy has dispatched to clean up the oil pollution. They do this by sucking it out of the sea.
The oil leaked from a ship, but it is still unclear which ship the leak came from. Research is ongoing.
