Croatian tennis player Ana Konjuh celebrates in the first match of the Roland Garros qualifier.
Konjuh’s match against Robin Anderson advanced to the second round with 6:4 and 6:4 victories. Konjuh and Anderson ended the game for a moment, after which the show was interrupted due to rain in Paris. In the second round of qualifying, the 23-year-old Konjuh will play against stronger opponents of Timee Babos and Xiaodi You.
This year, Konjuh is in very good form and broke through the 144th place in the ranking. Last week, she participated in the final of the Belgrade Championship. She lost to Badosa, and in 2015, Nottingham maintained her only WTA title.
