LIVERPOOL can enter the new season with a new forward.
Athletics reported that Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp hopes to bring in the 27-year-old Leeds forward Patrick Bamford. The English forward has performed well in Marcel Bielsa’s team this season and is sixth in the league’s best scorer list, scoring 15 goals.
Nine years ago, Bamford came to Chelsea from Nottingham Forest for 1.8 million euros, but he did not manage it at that famous club. Chelsea leased him for several years, and then in 2017, Middlesbrough bought his contract for 7 million euros. A year later, he went to Leeds for 1 million euros and has scored 41 goals so far.
“My people, a player! I remember people saying that Leeds needs a real goal player, Patrick is not good enough, something like this. I’m glad everyone made a mistake in their assessment. He is one An outstanding player, an outstanding field worker.” Klopp said of Bamford recently that his value at Transfermarkt is estimated at 18 million euros.
Forwards Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino may leave Liverpool in the next transfer window after a disappointing season.
