According to Agence France-Presse, on Friday, April 23, a fire broke out in a hospital on the outskirts of Mumbai, killing 13 Covid-19 patients.
The number of cases in the country must increase exponentially, with nearly 4 million new infections since the beginning of April, especially due to «Double mutation» Viruses and mass events, such as Kumbh Mela, a Hindu religious festival. He also faces a shortage of oxygen, medicines and hospital beds.
The extinguished fire at around 3 am local time (erupts at 11:30 pm on Thursday night Paris time) is under investigation.
“At the time of the fire, there were 17 patients in the intensive care unit of Vijay Warab Hospital, 13 people died, and the other four were transferred to other institutions.”Said firefighter Morrison Khavari.
