Hungary reported 302 coronavirus-related deaths yesterday, the largest daily death toll since the pandemic began, and there were 6,700 new infections.

The government warned that although vaccination has covered one-fifth of the population, the medical system is still under heavy pressure, making the country one of the fastest in Europe.
There were more than 12,000 people in the hospital yesterday, of which 1,492 were wearing masks.
