TikTok originated in China in 2016 and was named A.ME at the time, and later changed its name to DOYIN. TikTok started operations in August 2017 and took over MUSICAL.LY in November of that year. Since August 2018, TikTok has been operating on a global scale. It already has more than 500 million users, of which 4.5 million are in the Netherlands. Fabian used TikTok to amplify social commerce, augmented reality, real-time streaming and short videos. He also introduced the revolutionary algorithm of the application.
