LEO BORG, son of the famous tennis player Bjorn Borg, made his debut in the ATP Championship. At the invitation of the organizers, Leo participated in Marbella’s qualifying round and won only one match.
Borg Junior was easily defeated by the world number 128 tennis player Evgenij Donskoj in 51 minutes. Last week, the 18-year-old Swede performed slightly better in the challenger’s first round against Tara Daniel, losing 6-1 and 6-2. Leo Borg didn’t win any career, played 10 games and lost everything. Last year, he won only one set in the Futures game against Asrawy Amr, ranked 1475 in the world.
“I don’t want people to talk about the legendary son of Bjorn, but because of my tennis and let them talk about me. I am ready for the ATP and I know that I can play well and can fight strong players. I don’t want to feel pressure, I just want to do my best,” Leo said before the game against Donskoy.
His father Bjorn is one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He has won a total of 63 ATP titles, including 11 Grand Slam titles. He decided to end his career at the age of 26.
