Serbian singer Predrag Zivkovic Tozovac died at the age of 85 in Belgrade after being hospitalized with the coronavirus.
The news of the death of the singer and composer was confirmed by his godfather.
He told the Serbian media: “Unfortunately, he did not last. The coronavirus completely defeated him.”
Earlier this year, after a 40-year relationship, the singer married his partner Emilia Mima, who was only 20 years old.
He started his professional career in 1965 and became famous with Ispod lipe song kraj potoka two years later.
His popularity began in 1971, when he won summer songs with the composition Mirjana. The following year, he won the championship with the song “Women’s Eyes” and confirmed his popularity.
He plays the accordion, drums and trumpet.
During his long career, he has received many recognitions and awards.
