Bruno Lage, who had coached Benfica, became the head coach of the Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Football League.
The 45-year-old Portuguese professional player worked for the Lisbon club for eight years and then was the second coach of Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City. Three years ago, he was appointed as the head coach of Benfica’s reserve team. In January 2019, Rivitolia took over from the first team. In the first season, he won the Portuguese frontline fight with defenders, but in July 2020, he had to leave due to poor performance.
After four years of work, former Wolves coach Nuno Espírito Santo left his position at the end of the season. The team ranks 13th in the Premier League.
