The prince William and Harry met for the first time since Harry left the royal office. The princes walked beside the coffin of the grandfather Prince Philip.
However, they did not move around each other, but between them was cousin Peter Philips. British media wrote that the brothers may not even meet before the funeral. This is actually the first time they have met since Harry left the UK.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, will be buried in the royal crypt of Windsor Castle this afternoon. Due to restrictions imposed in the fight against the coronavirus, the funeral will be held in a family gathering.
Buckingham Palace said that the funeral will begin at 3:40 pm, when the coffin procession will leave the private chapel of the castle, and the funeral will march and observe a minute of silence across the country.
According to the current health measures in England, the farewell party was attended by only 30 guests, most of whom were members of the royal family.
Prince Philip, who had been married to the Queen for 73 years, died on April 9 at the age of 99 after spending a month in the hospital due to heart disease and infection.
The palace released a guest list on Thursday, revealing that Prince William and Prince Harry will not walk side by side behind the coffin. Among them will be a cousin Peter Philips, who is the son of Prince Anne. All guests, including the Queen, who will be 95 years old next week, will wear masks, sit separately and maintain physical distance. The queen will sit down alone.
A choir of four people will sing at the funeral, chosen by the prince himself, and then the service will last for 50 minutes.
