Buckingham Palace announced the list of guests at the funeral of Prince Philip. As we all know, the funeral took place in a small family circle. Other details about the prince’s funeral at Friday’s funeral have now also been released.
Philip’s great-grandchildren, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, children of Prince William and his wife Kate are not among them, probably because they are too young. Without corona measures, the 30 attendees are only a small part of the expected 800 guests.
The funeral will be held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle at 4pm (Netherlands time) on Saturday. The funeral will begin with a minute of silence. The family will arrive in pairs and wear masks in the church. Therefore, Queen Elizabeth will also sit down alone, and the choir will consist of only four singers. No one is allowed to sing.
Philip’s grandsons Prince William and Prince Harry will not walk side by side to the church. Their cousin, Peter Philips, is Princess Anne’s eldest son, and they will walk between the brothers.
Arrange on your own
Philip himself has arranged many funerals. For example, his chest will be transported to a customized Land Rover, and during service, some of his military medals will be on the altar. None of the people present can wear military uniforms.
Not only will Philip’s great-grandson not be absent, nor will Meghan and others be there. The wife of the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry will stay in the United States due to a doctor’s pregnancy. Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson also did not attend.
Prince Philip died last Friday at the age of 99. According to the palace, he died peacefully two months before his 100th birthday.
