According to the Prime Minister’s Office, France will implement a strict 10-day quarantine on all passengers from Brazil from April 24.
In order to curb the spread of the new variant of covid-19 found in Brazil, France decided this week to suspend all flights in and out of the country and extended the measure until April 23.
Starting from April 24, only permanent residents and those with French or European Union passports can fly from Brazil to France.
However, the authorities will quarantine them for ten days, the police will supervise the quarantine, and passengers must undergo a PCR negative test for no more than 36 hours before boarding.
The quarantine measures will also apply to travelers returning from Argentina, Chile and South Africa, where other variants of the coronavirus have been detected by these travelers.
