Four days before the start of the new season, the first batch of new players arrived in Gorica. Gorica’s new players become the 24-year-old forward Fran Brodic from the second division of Custohija and the U-21 member of the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team from Inter Milan, and the 19-year-old defender Zaprešić. Sha Majanovic, also from the second HNL. Both parties have signed a contract until the summer of 2025.
Flam Brodic was the first person to take a photo with Gorica’s jersey, with the number 11 on his back.
“I am very happy that I have finally returned to the first HNL, but I am also very happy that I signed with an ever-rising club. I hope I can live up to the expectations of the club’s people. I know Gorica very well and I have followed a lot of HNL, So I roughly know what is waiting for me,” Brodic said. For him, this is not Gorica’s first attempt.
“Yes, I came to rehearse about two years ago, but I was not even physically prepared for this level. However, the situation has changed during this period. You see, I am here now.”
Not long ago, Fran Brodic was also known as one of the greatest geniuses in Croatian football. His career is colorful and very young. He has experienced Belgium and Italy.
“I started in Kustošija, I went to NK Zagreb when I was 8 years old, and stayed there for six or seven years. After that I received invitations from several major European clubs, but I decided to join Dynamo, and from there I went I was 18 years old at the Club Bruges. I spent four years there, was failed on loan, and finally terminated the contract. I went to Italy, first in Catania and then Regiana. In October, I signed a contract with Cuba. Storcia, I started my football career there. I played well there and I deserve this opportunity.” Brodic believes that he has clear goals in the near future:
“I hope we can at least repeat the mistakes of last season. If possible, I hope it gets better. I personally hope that I can play as much as possible and contribute as much as possible to achieve all goals.”
