According to AICCOPN, the total amount of public works tenders in the first quarter fell 42% year-on-year to 969 million euros, which was punished by the “extraordinarily high price” of the promotional activities in March 2020.
“This figure is 42% lower than the 1.663 billion in the same quarter of 2020. Regarding public works contracts (including public bidding, direct adjustments, prior consultations and other contracts that have been signed), and reported on the basic portal, as of the end of March, the total amount of contracts increased by 17% to a total of 720 million euros .
This value corresponds to a year-on-year comparable change of +43% (information is available before April 15th of each year).
During the quarter, the total amount of contracts related to open bidding increased by 18% from 2020 to a total of 561 million euros, while direct adjustments and contracts concluded after previous consultations were “slightly reduced” by 2% to the same period in 2020 , The total is 101 million euros.
