US President Joe Biden will reveal his government’s first steps in combating armed violence on Thursday, including a plan to reduce the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
White House officials told reporters that Biden will announce that the Justice Department intends to pass a rule within 30 days to help reduce the prevalence of self-made weapons without serial numbers and untraceable, but it is not yet known what time he will do, the rules include.
There are also plans to invest in the prevention of community violence.
The Biden administration has been studying measures to limit armed violence for months, and hopes that they will not launch a legal battle or dismantle certain measures. That is, the “Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution” guarantees citizens the right to bear arms.
During the campaign, Biden promised to allow gun manufacturers to file murders against their products, ban assault rifles, and conduct special tests on the sale of most weapons.
