US President Joe Biden stated in Mildenhall, the United Kingdom that the United States does not want to conflict with Russia, but will respond in a “strong and meaningful” way to all harmful actions taken by the Russian government.
When Biden’s eight-day European tour begins, it will include the NATO summit and a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the meeting, Biden said that he would emphasize the firm commitment of the United States to the transatlantic alliance.
“We don’t want a conflict with Russia,” the President of the United States said in a speech to American soldiers and their families at a military base in Mildenhall, Suffolk. “We want a stable and predictable relationship… but I have made it clear that if the Russian government engages in harmful activities, the United States will respond in a strong and meaningful way,” Biden emphasized.
