Mario Balotelli may leave Monza this summer.
The Italian striker received an offer from Turkish club Adana Demirspor, and Monza confirmed that they have not yet started negotiating a new contract with the 31-year-old Balotelli. His contract with the Italian second division team ended last season.
“Balotelli’s contract has expired. We will work with the new coach Giovanni Stroop to see what decisions we will make,” Monza leader Adriano Galliani said.
Balotelli played for Monza for five months, scoring 6 goals in 14 appearances, but failed to bring the team into the first division. He previously played for Inter Milan, Manchester City, Milan, Liverpool, Nice, Marseille and Brescia.
