The correct application has not been downloaded, Bluetooth is not turned on, and there is a tattoo on the wrist-such and similar things (often for mediocre reasons), wearable smart devices that are becoming increasingly popular among Hungarians are not working properly.
Although users specifically purchase such devices based on easy pairing with existing smartphones, most problems occur precisely when pairing devices. The service team of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. in Hungary collected the most common errors and complaints encountered by users when using smartphones and wearable smart devices.
Common question
“In most cases we encounter, the problem is not the device, but due to other mediocre things, the smart device does not work properly and cannot connect properly. “The most typical reason is that Bluetooth is not turned on, or the device to be paired Connected to another device,” outlined the most common reasons, said Ivett Nagy, Marketing Director, Consumer Business Unit, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. Hungary.
In order to help customers, the company’s service team collected the five most common causes and living conditions and provided feedback for them. Fortunately, in these cases, you only need to make a few small adjustments to make everything perfect.
1. There is no Bluetooth connection, or the smartphone/headset/smartphone is connected to another device
The most common situation is that the device you want to pair cannot see the other party. Fortunately, today’s application explains the almost indestructible process step by step in detail. Pairing failure is rare, because Bluetooth is not turned on, but usually another device is connected to the handset or smart bracelet, so the process fails.
To pair the watch with the headset, disconnect the headset from other devices, or restart the headset. Put the headset in pairing mode, and then press the up key on the watch to enter the “Settings” “Headset” menu. Then choose headphones here!
2. Corresponding application, the connection of iOS and other Android phones is not downloaded
Huawei’s wearable smart devices can be easily connected to all smart phones and are compatible with iOS and Windows in addition to Android. This ensures that users can easily switch between devices without being limited to one brand. This requires downloading the Huawei Health app.
When pairing with an iOS device, you must first download the Huawei Health app from the AppStore, and then pair the device in the Bluetooth settings of the phone. After opening the Huawei Health app, simply follow the instructions displayed. Huawei’s AI Life app is also needed to fully fine-tune the headsets (FreeBuds 3, Pro and 4i) with active noise reduction on iOS devices.
Android smart phones also need to download the Health app instead of using Huawei phones. AppGallery You also need to install a software store. After installing the app, you need to launch it and follow the instructions.
3. You did not measure your blood oxygen level or heart rate correctly
The blood oxygen level and heart rate are measured by the optical sensor on the back of the watch or smart bracelet. Certain external factors may affect its normal operation. It cannot be measured on a tattooed skin surface or thick hair. In addition, if the sensor is very dirty, you may want to wipe it, because dust or sweat may block it. It is also worth checking whether the strap is tight enough for measurement, because if the strap is too loose to fit the wrist correctly, the device will not be able to measure.
4. The calculation results of smart devices and smart phones are different
Wearable smart devices and smart phones use accelerometers to track steps and determine whether a step has occurred based on the direction of movement and acceleration. Since we usually put the mobile phone in our pocket, the detection is usually based on the vertical acceleration measurement. Studies have shown that wearable devices provide more accurate stride data because they take into account the changes in X, Y and Z axis acceleration and can measure the movement of the user’s arm.
Motion detection methods used in wearable smart devices based on theoretical and experimental data are also more scientific and reliable, and can now measure teeth more accurately in situations that are difficult to explain (such as sitting or swinging while sitting, eating and brushing). If this movement lasts for a long time, the data collected by the sensor may be similar to the data collected while walking. This may cause some differences.
5. Can’t accurately measure sleep
One of the reasons for the inaccurate measurement may be that the wrist or arm is moving during sleep, so the device will not consider this period of time as sleep. If we don’t wear the device on a stronger hand (for example, a right-handed person should wear it on the left hand), we may get more accurate data. If the device’s belt is too loose, even if the device detects very little wrist movement, messy data will be generated. Therefore, you may misunderstand sleep, because lack of exercise is one of the main characteristics of sleep.
The bracelet uses a built-in sensor to detect wear, and its operation is based on light reflected from the skin. It can detect reflected light of multiple wavelengths, but if our device is placed on a specific surface with the sensor facing down (such as a table, sofa, bed sheet), the light reflected from the surface may be similar to the light reflected from the skin. It may erroneously detect wear and tear and record sleep data.
