Apple may launch a “cheaper” monitor in 2022

Apple products are characterized by two things. They are high-quality products and are expensive. The Cupertino giant currently has Pro Display XDR only if you own an iMac, or just want to add another monitor to your setup.

These points are easily confirmed by a quick trip to Apple’s Portugal-based online store. The Pro Display XDR (32″ inches) is a true masterpiece, both in terms of its design and its specifications. However, its price is beyond the reach of the overwhelming majority of users, with a base price of €5,599 just for the monitor. For support, please add 1,099 Euros to your account.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple could launch a lower-priced monitor line in 2022.

Details are still very scarce and the brand has not confirmed any leaks or officially confirmed anything.

Still, Gurman reveals that Apple may bet on the launch of two new models (24″ and 27″ inches) to complement its offer in this segment. Obviously, being products with a more “affordable” price, it is expected that we will also see a considerable cut in the level of their specifications.

Apple is not yet releasing pricing information, but there are rumors. Taking into account the base price of the Pro Display XDR, it is said that the 27″-inch model could come with a price of around $2,500.

The smallest may get a bigger cut and could be the first to surpass the 1,000-dollar mark.
