Amazon is investing 2.5 billion euros in new data centers in the Aragon region of northern Spain. Aragon is one of Spain’s 17 autonomous states with a population of more than 1.3 million. These facilities will be put into use next year.
It involves an investment in the subsidiary Amazon Web Services, which will be completed within ten years Spread.
This investment includes the salaries of the 1,300 employees the company plans to hire.
Amazon Web Services has been present in Spain since 2012, but according to Amazon, the demand for data is growing rapidly, so it needs to be expanded.
