Australian authorities today reported the first death in the country after AstraZeneca vaccination.
Regulators said that the 48-year-old woman developed a blood clot and died after being vaccinated, and there may be a link between her death and the vaccine.
This is the third case of blood clot after vaccination in AstraZeneca, Australia. The other two people also performed well during the recovery process. Reuters.
On April 8, a woman from New South Wales was vaccinated with AstraZeneca.
The 48-year-old man suffers from some underlying diseases, such as diabetes.
The Australian Vaccine Safety Research Institute (VSIG) stated: “At present, due to the lack of another possible cause of blood clots, a causal relationship with vaccination should be assumed.”
So far, Australia has injected at least 885,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine, which means that the country has registered 295,000 doses of blood clot formation.
