The name Realme may not be familiar to many people in Hungary, but it can be easily changed soon. This brand is one of the emerging Chinese companies, and we have seen several examples of how these new names can quickly gain a very important market share.
The company has also recently started to officially distribute its products in Hungary, in addition, it has also entered the Realme 7 store in Hungary. product. This model strengthens the so-called middle class, so it is far away from the most expensive and knowledgeable high-end phones, and far away from the cheapest devices that represent entry-level products.
For these products, manufacturers have had the opportunity to focus on features, such as screens, cameras, or performance, so for each of these models, the strategy followed by a particular company is very exciting. Therefore, for Realme 7, we would like to know if it has an area that performs better than average, and if so, which area performs better than average. Or, of course, whether the right decision has been made and whether there is a chance of success in this highly competitive market segment.
As far as Realme 7 is concerned, the focus is on performance, because a product priced at about 100,000 HUF can significantly improve performance by 30%. The octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor comes with 8GB of RAM, and a year or two ago, this only applied to the most expensive phones. According to our experience, this makes the product very versatile. It can even run high-definition movies or modern games with excellent graphics. Image editing and video editing can also work, navigation is fast, and network browsing, chatting and communication are fast.
The device is based on the Realme UI system based on Android 10. After Samsung or OnePlus is filled with its own solutions, the device is pure. Sometimes he fights with the Hungarian language, but this is far from tragedy. Its battery is also very good, because it is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, which can guarantee enough energy storage for 15 hours of video recording or 9 hours of gaming. Unfortunately, the battery is not replaceable, but now, in the age of ultra-thin mobile phones, this is not surprising. Its built-in speaker produces a rather harsh sound, because the volume is also very low, the bass is imperceptible, but the final effect is dull and lifeless.
On paper, the photographer’s skills are excellent. In addition to the 48-megapixel main camera, it is also equipped with an ultra-wide-angle and macro unit for shooting super close-up objects. However, the latter two can actually only be used under ideal lighting conditions. Even the main camera doesn’t like the darkness in the evening, because the photos are often blurry and noisy. There is no lack of stylish portrait function, and the software can highlight or blur some image details well, so this mode works well.
Of course, it also allows you to create movies. There is no 8K, but 4K resolution is supported, although at only 30 FPS image capture speed, this may not be enough to achieve fast motion. However, with Full HD, all of this has been resolved, even including Slowdown.
The display area feels insufficient. Although the Realme 7’s screen produces a 90 Hz image refresh rate, which is better than the usual 60 Hz in the league, it makes the motion display smoother in some cases, which is undoubtedly a step forward. However, the IPS LED LCD imaging technology used clearly lags behind competitors’ OLED processes. Its colors are blurry, darker, and weaker, which is why the visual world is not so clearly bright and the viewing angle is significantly worse.
The maximum brightness is not very high (according to our measurement, it is 483 nits), which is of course sufficient for indoor use, but outdoors, under sunlight, the hue seems to be very weak. This model does not support the display of HDR content. However, you can’t complain about the details. The 6.5-inch display has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. As a result, these lines are sharp and ensure a true reproduction of the breathable transition.
In the middle class, designers today do not have much foundation to show their creativity. Therefore, the device will not change the world with its appearance. The screen is flat, the coffee is thin, and the camera that cuts into the screen is not lost.
The back looks quite elegant, but once you touch it, you will immediately feel that it is made of cheap knocked plastic, which breaks the charm.
Of course, there is a USB-C connector on it, which is mandatory today. To our delight, the traditional headphone output is not spared either.
Therefore, it is absolutely praiseworthy! However, this is not because the durable design is not considered, because the equipment is also poor in waterproof, dustproof and shockproof performance.
In terms of Realme 7, we learned about an absolutely competitive mid-range phone. You have to pay about 90,000 HUF for this. In contrast, you have the powerful hardware of Buffalo, and its battery is also very good. The screen is more like a medium, as is the camera system, but it can make you unable to wait when your budget is tight. We think they still bring a lot of opportunities, and if this model finally succeeds for us, we will not be surprised.
