German police released a photo and news of a 10-year-old boy Lennard who saved the life of a motorcyclist in Unterbreizbach, Thuringia, Germany.
In early June, a man hit his motorcycle on the fence. Leonard witnessed the accident and quickly intervened to save the man’s life.
“On the night of June 2nd, a man riding a motorcycle suddenly ran into a barbed wire fence. It was dusk and he might not have seen the fence. In the crash, the motorcyclist injured his neck and endangered his life. Leonard called for help, and a passerby called an ambulance to hear it. The injured motorcyclist was taken to the hospital to recover.
The police allowed the boy to visit the state police station in Sur. At the police station, he told the police chief Wolfgang Nicolai (Wolfgang Nicolai) the whole incident. He said he was shocked, but he knew he had to react quickly.
As a reward for his courage and quick response, he received electronic transaction coupons, a few souvenirs from the Thuringian police, and saw a police patrol car.
The police wrote in a statement: “Leonard can really be proud of himself and his performance, because many people may not react so cautiously.”
