Czech officials are investigating the behavior of border police officers who detained 140 passengers for several hours at Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague yesterday for allegedly falsifying coronavirus tests.
Tourists detained at the airport are suspected of falsifying tests. Before entering the Czech Republic, everyone was forced to be tested again. The Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kurhanek announced that it will investigate whether the actions of these policemen are correct.
The passengers are almost all Czechs, most of them are families with children, who returned from vacation in Tunisia on two planes. According to the travel agency, the passengers were tested by Czech doctors in accordance with Czech standards in Tunisia before boarding the plane.
The border police stated that preventive measures are necessary because passengers have repeatedly come in with falsified test results. But this is the first time that all passengers on the flight, not just individuals, have to retest.
